A Cuppa À La Kota

co

This photo was taken in Glasgow, Scotland, somewhere on the way towards University of Glasgow. I was walking with two friends from Romania and Moldova. We were exhausted. The road didn't seem to lead to any interesting places of visit. I saw this little cafe. What a relaxing place to have a cup of tea while sitting under the August sun, watching people passingby (though I must say, that road was quite deserted).

I took out my camera, snapped this photo. It will always remind me of a quiet, pleasing and couldn't-care-less-but-just-to-have-a-cup-of-coffee times no matter how busy life is, how stressful work makes me :)

The title of this photo just came to my mind. I personally like it a lot. I thought I'd just briefly explain why such a name :)

A cuppa = a cup of tea (Kiwi slang)
À La = at the (French)
Kota = city (Malay)

The title represents the cultures I've been exposed to, whether a major part of my life, or just like a corsage embellishing a blouse. Hope you like this picture. And always remember: Never too busy to slow down once awhile during your walks in the life journey to smell the coffee :)

Staircase to Heaven

True Friends

Friends...
If you were true to me,
Do not walk behind me,
Do not walk ahead of me,
My friends,
If you were true to me,
Come walk side by side with me.

People say...
Good friends do not have to
hold their hands all the time,
Coz they know the other hand
would always be there.

I might not write to you
as much as I would like to.
I might not call you
as often as I would love to.
My friends...
You might not have known,
But you are always here
In my heart...

Writen based on recollection of some phrases I saw long time ago, and my own words. Friends are always the ones who touch my heart the most. Friends like you, are those I cherish the most. Thank you to all the great people I've met, whom, I call.....Friends

The Kingdom Beckons

The kingdom beckons
Beckoning the return of me

"Come away, Come to me"
Dip your body into the water
Water full with colours
The colours of joy and freedom
Dive your soul into the ocean
Ocean full with creations
The creations of treasure and wealth

"Come away, Come to me"
The kingdom is beckoning
Bubbling of air
Swaying of corals
Flipping of fins
Giggling of mermaids

"Come to me, Come to me"
Home is where you belong
Embrase in the solace
of blissfulness
Warmth of love is what you deserve

A leap of faith
A lead to eternity

"Come away, Come to me" ...

Colours of the Universe

We breathe the same air,
We march the same steps.
The world is only beautiful...
With all the different colours
of the universe.

The Glow of Love and Life

Life hasn't been life lately.
With so much work, and no personal time,
I've lost in touch with myself.
I haven't been able to feel the feelings...
Have I joined the gang of walking deads, the zombies?
Oh gosh, Oh NO! NO! NO! NO! NO!

I saw a couple today.
Middle-aged couple.
They stood facing one another,
holding close to each other,
In the crowded train,
Looking into each others' eyes.
No I do not know them.
I saw them today...

I saw life through them,
I saw love glowing from them,
And I looked around,
Yes, right...they were indeed special in the crowd.

They...reminded me of life,
A life of love,
A life for love.
The love of life,
And the love for life...
Oh...how poor I'm,
for not having any of those,
now.

But I saw life today,
He came with love.
He was so happy, and she was simply beautiful!
I looked around in the train,
No one seemed to have seen them.
Though they both do not belong to me,
I saw them...
It must have been my lucky day.
They were glowing in the dark.
I saw life and love,
I felt their existance...
